physical and/or psychological tension and pain
• stress
and associated symptoms such as sleeping difficulties, disturbed
eating habits, fatigue, digestive disorders and depressive states
• chronic
conditions or long-standing difficulties that more conventional
approaches have not helped
• support
through major life changes – such as career change, unemployment,
illness, grief, divorce, birth, personal transformation process
• development
of awareness – of self and of the other
• relief
from psychological difficulties you are experiencing in your life
(such as phobia, anxiety) without the need to talk about your
personal life history – either because you do not wish to
dwell on it, or because there are no obvious events in your life
now or in the past that seem to be related
The
benefits
I
support you to develop your own potential towards body-mind health.
Whether you come to me because you have a recurring pain that
is affecting you in your life, or because you are or wish to engage
in a process of change, I will begin to work with the body to
identify and release tensions. This is the first dimension of
my approach, a manual therapy called Fasciatherapy-somatology.
Whereas an acute problem is usually resolved in 2 or 3 sessions,
a long-standing difficulty may require regular treatments over
a period of time.
If you are
looking for more than physical relief from pain, tension and stress,
Somatic-psychoeducation offers an approach that uses touch, movement
and words to support a personal transformation process. As the
sessions unfold, you regain a feeling of wholeness, unity and
vitality and your self-awareness increases. You begin to feel
the tangible link between body and mind, to engage a reflection
based on the information emanating from the body and to take into
consideration the effects of your thoughts on your body. You are
beginning to learn from the experience of your body for your life,
and gradually find that your relationship to yourself, to others
and your environment is changing because you are looking at them
from different perspectives, which offer different solutions.
How
does it help you :
• by releasing the tensions that trap your body and your
mind
• by
enriching your ability to feel your body - because maybe you do
not feel it much or you do not feel parts of it at all, you have
the sensation of being many scattered pieces of a puzzle, or you
feel empty, and this brings a sense of discomfort, a feeling of
being out of kilter, that has an impact on your life
• by
enabling you to feel more clearly how your body and your mind
inter-relate
• by
enabling you to reconnect with your deeper self and your creative
impulses, and to express yourself
• by
educating you to engage a reflection and to learn from the “out
of-the-ordinary” experience of the body that is offered
during the sessions
• by
supporting you to achieve harmony between what you feel, what
you think and how you act
• by
providing you with very effective tools to live in the here and
now
